    Last July Moshem Amiran came to Maria Stein to show farmers and civic leaders his patented technique for processing livestock manure into organic fertilizer. Last week representatives of Amiran Technologies based in Oak Creek, Wis., returned to Maria Stein to unveil their plans for a 25,000 square foot plant to process manure from local farms.     Ohio Farmer Honors Master Farmers

    The revived Ohio Master Farmer Award got off to a great start this month. As subscribers know, the names William J. Richards, Terry Lee Swaisgood and Brian H. Watkins were engraved on plaques and presented to the well-deserving honorees the past two weeks. We decided to split the ceremonies to match the presentations to the appropriate venues.
