Articulated and trail sprayers offer new options for weed control.

Medium to large farming operations are the target for Wylie Manufacturing’s latest models of ag sprayers. The VersaTrakr and VersaTrail come with a 1,250-gallon full drain tank and options on running gear for open fields or row crops.

Both sprayers are designed for farmers who want high capacity and a quality spray boom. Both also include a 100 gallon fresh water tank, a 15 gallon Mix ’N Fill tank, and a loading stand.

The VersaTrakr is an articulating sprayer that provides easy tracking in row crops with wheels that follow the tractor wheels—even in tight turns. The VersaTrakr wheels can be spaced from 80 to 160 inches.

The VersaTrail comes with a pull-type tongue and can be used in row crops or small grain. This model also can use tractor tires with spacings from 80 to 160 inches. It also can use “diamond tread” tires that can be spaced from 86 to 120 inches.

Both models can be equipped with Wylie’s Spray Wyng, Tilt Wyng or Row Wyng boom. The 60-foot Spray Wyng features a “dampened gimble” suspension for smooth high-speed operation. The 80- or 90-foot  Tilt Wyng as well as the 60-foot Row Wyng allow one end of the boom to be raised in rolling terrain or to clear obstacles.

The sprayers can be equipped with Raven automatic controllers and Raven or Trimble GPS guidance systems.
