WKMA Names Scholarship Winners

Eight Western Kansas students awarded scholarships ranging from $500 to $700

Western Kansas Manufacturers Association, sponsor of the 3i SHOW, continues its support of Western Kansas students furthering their education at area community colleges, technical colleges and universities through its annual scholarship program.

The scholarships are for freshman students who are residents of Western Kansas and who have graduated from a Western Kansas high school.  Preference is given to students enrolling in Industrial Engineering, Pre-Engineering or Business Administration. 

WKMA has awarded 2012-2013 school year scholarship to these recipients: 

Jacob Crotinger, an Otis-Bison High School graduate, was awarded a $500 scholarship at Barton Community College; Taylor Lambert, a Palco High School graduate, was awarded a $500 scholarship at Colby Community College; Garret Stefan, a Minneola High School graduate, was awarded a $500 scholarship at Dodge City Community College; Victor Starkey, a South Gray High School graduate, was awarded a $500 scholarship at Garden City Community College; Giselle Gonzalez, a Wallace County High School graduate, was awarded a $500 scholarship at Northwest Kansas Technical College; Terry Ables, an Ellis High School graduate, was awarded a $700 scholarship at Fort Hays State University; Gabriella Armendariz, a Holcomb High School graduate, was awarded a $700 scholarship at Kansas State University; and Hannah Taylor, a Pratt High School graduate, was awarded a $700 scholarship at the University of Kansas.  Scholarships at North Central Kansas Technical College and Seward County Community College/Area Tech College are still available.

Scholarships are funded by the annual 3i SHOW belt buckle sales.  Buckles for the 2013 3i SHOW in Dodge City are currently available.  Visit the 3i SHOW website for ordering information.
