The Wisconsin Specialty Cheese Institute invites cheese makers, cheese buyers and cheese eaters to hit the green on Thursday, June 13 for its lucky 13th' Annual Golf Outing at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.
A fundraiser to help the Institute accomplish its mission of promoting and supporting a robust specialty cheese industry in Wisconsin, the golf outing is open to the public. Registration is $150 per golfer, which includes green fees, golf cart, practice range balls, yardage guides, personalized bag tags, box lunch and tailgate cookout. Individual registrants are encouraged as well as foursomes.
The event includes various hole challenges, raffles and door prizes. Hole sponsorships are available for $100. Companies interested in donating prize money or items should contact WSCI Administrator Kathy Brown at email@example.com.
For the second year in a row, the Paul McShane Traveling Trophy will be presented to the first place team. The trophy honors the late Paul McShane, "a class act on and off the green" who acted as a tireless champion of specialty cheese in Wisconsin.
As always, a tailgate cookout and lively raffle with door prizes will follow the 12:30 p.m. shotgun start and scramble format. Non-golfers are welcome to attend the evening tailgate cookout and program for $25 per person. The event is always a fun and relaxing way to network and enjoy time with members in the Wisconsin specialty cheese industry.
Registration forms may be found on the website at www.wispecialtycheese.org. For more information, contact Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1-866-740-2180.
