Michigan Farmer is launching a new competition featuring Michigan barns from across the state that challenges readers to identify, exactly, where they are located. Yes, this is a competition, but more importantly, this feature is designed to put some of the state's barns front and center for all of us to enjoy.
The first to supply the exact location of the barn (by commenting below) will receive a shiny, new Michigan Farmer coffee mug. I will notify the winner, which will also be announced in the following month's magazine.
The competition focuses on the location of the barn, but I also want to know about its structure, dates, ownership and all that, but what would be even more interesting are any stories associated with the barn. There are often many any memories tied to a barn. Stories like… "my daughter, at the age of 6, helped me pull a calf in that barn,"…. Or "in 1968 we had a rip-roaring barn dance in there."
Look forward to hearing from you!
