WFU to Hold Series of Carbon Credit Program Meetings

Details about cash compensation will be presented.

Wisconsin Farmers Union (WFU) will hold a series of informational meetings about Farmers Union's Carbon Credit Program on Nov. 27 and 28. WFU President Sue Beitlich and National Farmers Union (NFU) Carbon Credit Program Director Dale Enerson will present details of the program to farmers and landowners who want to receive cash compensation for practices like continuous no-till farming and long-term grassland seeding.

The general public is welcome to attend. Times and locations for the meetings are:

Monday, Nov. 27

8:00 PM - Badger Crossing Pub & Eatery, 909 Front St., Cashton

Tuesday, Nov. 28
8:00 AM - Grandma's Kitchen, 503 Main St., Highland

12:00 PM - Toffler's Pub & Grill, 200 5th Ave., New Glarus

3:30 PM - Dodge Co. Extension Administration Building, Room 428, 127 E. Oak Street, Juneau

7:00 PM - Kenosha Co. Extension Office, Room A, 19600 75th St., Bristol
