Valley Irrigation Adds Precision Feature

Company brings QuickStart prescription writing to its Variable Rate Irrigation product.

Published on: Apr 23, 2013

Valley Irrigation is rolling out the addition of QuickStart prescription writing to its Variable Rate Irrigation product, allowing growers to customize their water application throughout a field. VRI speed control is already built into Valley Select2 and Pro2 control panels. Adding the QS prescription service will allow farmers to implement variable rate irrigation into their operation immediately. The Valley VRI Agronomy Team develops the one-time, custom QS prescription based on a range of features including soil maps, aerial imagery and other relevant information provided by the grower. When the information is provided with new orders, the QS prescription is preloaded in the Select2 and Pro2 control panels. QS prescriptions are also available to growers with existing center pivots wanting to utilize variable rate application through panel upgrades using TrackNET and BaseStation2 products. You can learn more about the system and this new feature by contacting your local Valley dealer or by visiting www.valleyirrigation.com.
