Have you been able to keep up with the latest information on new soybean varieties and technologies that will be available next year?
Compare the latest technologies and traits in the field while discussing management strategies to optimize soybean profitability when you attend the University of Minnesota Soybean Research Update and Plot Tour on Wednesday, August 31. The program will be held at the Bob Nelson farm, near Westbrook, from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
The field day, sponsored by U-M Extension, the Corn and Soybean Growers Associations of Cottonwood and Murray Counties, Elizabeth Johnson, and Bob Nelsen, is free and open to all who wish to attend and will be held rain or shine.
The program will begin with a number of research updates. Bruce Potter, Integrated Pest Management Specialist based out of the Research and Outreach Center in Lamberton, will provide an update on his research. In addition, Liz Stahl, Extension Educator in Crops, will discuss weed resistance and provide an update on the twin row research.
Following the research updates and weather permitting, attendees are welcome to walk through the nearby research plot with the U of M specialists for a side-by-side comparison of different soybean varieties and technologies.
