Kansas growers are well-represented on the new Board of Directors for the United Sorghum Checkoff Program, which held its first meeting last week at the USDA headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Bill Greving of Prairie View is president of the Board and Jeff Casten of Quenemo is secretary.

Other offices are Bill Kubecka of Palacios, Texas, vice president and Dale Artho of Wilderado, Texas, treasurer.

The Board decided on a formal name of the United Sorghum Checkoff Program, and set up bylaws and approved bylaws and an initial budget.
