Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 CCA of the Year Award. This state award, sponsored by the Ohio CCA Program, is designed to recognize an individual who is highly motivated. Winners are advisers who deliver exceptional customer service for farmer clients in nutrient management, soil and water management, integrated pest management and crop production. The group is looking to recognize advisers who have contributed substantially to the exchange of ideas and the transfer of agronomic knowledge within the agricultural industry in Ohio.
"Do you know a deserving candidate for the Certified Crop Adviser of the Year Award? If so, nominate them by Jan. 10, 2014, for this award," says Tim Berning, chairman of the CCA advisers board. "CCAs are making a difference for Ohio farmers every day. This is your chance to salute the people that help you make money by providing the information you need."
The winner of this year's award will be recognized at the Conservation Tillage Conference in Ada, on March 4. The winner will receive a $1,500-cash award from an agribusiness, industry recognition and a plaque.
Submit nominations by Jan. 10, 2014, to the Ohio CCA Board c/o Ohio AgriBusiness Association at 5151 Reed Road, Suite 126-C, Columbus, Ohio 43220. A nomination form is available at http://go.osu.edu/2014CCAofYear.
