Registration is open for the 2015 Minnesota State Cattlemen's Association Summer Beef Tour and Trade Show.

Each year, a community is chosen to showcase experienced beef farmers and ranchers with a family history of raising high quality beef, which is raised with integrity, as well as other agricultural highlights of their community, says Ashley Kohls, MSCA executive director.

Hutchinson has been chosen as the location for the 2015 MSCA Summer Beef Tour & Trade Show.

Roughly 700 to 900 beef farmers and ranchers, beef industry professionals and community members from across the state attend the tour and trade show annually, says Kohls.

State Cattlemen's summer Tour starts in Hutchinson

The Beef Tour and Trade Show will kick-off on July 20 with a MSCA Quarterly Business Meeting, followed by a networking event and PAC fundraiser.

The tour begins Tuesday, July 21, at the McLeod County Fairgrounds. Registration starts at 6:15 am and will run until 8:30 am, with the first tour bus leaving at 7:00 am and every 15 minutes after that.

The Minnesota State Cattlemen's Association would like to extend a special thanks to its 2015 tour stops: Schiefelebein Farms, Kimball; Landwehr Dairy, Watkins; Terry & Matt Schaefer, Cokato; Polzin Cattle/Polzin Embryo Center, Litchfield and Cashwise Foods meat department tour, Hutchinson.

Plan to also attend a cattle stockmanship and Beef Quality Assurance live cattle handling demonstration that afternoon at the fairgrounds.

The tour registration fee is $25 before June 15 and $35 after June 15. The student price is $20. An additional lunch ticket is $10 and an additional dinner ticket is $15.
