Show Opens to Clear Skies

A little overnight rain will do little more than keep the dust down for the opening Husker Harvest Days 2010.

As the sun rose on the 33rd annual Husker Harvest Days near Grand Island, Neb., exhibitors were streaming in to put the finishing touches on their real estate for the big event. The show, which took a quarter-inch of rain overnight, is ready to open its three-day run.

The event, which draws more than 500 exhibitors and offers the most extensive exhibit of new equipment - and the only fully irrigated farm show in the country - for visitors to enjoy.

Gates open at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Show hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 14 and 15; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 16. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students.
