Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Committee Pat Roberts, R-Kan., and Senator Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., have sent a letter to the Office of Management and Budget urging the agency to reduce burdensome and ineffective regulations impacting farmers, ranchers and rural America.  In the letter, the Senators said they want assurance that the administration will review the actions by USDA and EPA and swiftly implement corrective action.

Consistent with President Obama's Jan. 18 executive order, the Senators included a list of regulations and proposals that should be considered a priority for review. In the Senators' views, the regulations offer substantial and unjustifiable cost to stakeholders.
