The 2013 Farm Progress Hay Expo heads to northeast Iowa June 19 and 20, hosted by Regancrest Holsteins located north of Waukon, Iowa. The Hay Expo is the best place to see the latest hay and forage equipment.

An unusually late winter and cool, wet spring has delayed fieldwork throughout the Midwest and hindered crop growth in the region. The weekly crop reports states only 10% of first cutting alfalfa hay was complete compared to last year's 9%.

"Conditions this spring have been less than ideal for timely planting and forage harvesting," notes Matt Jungmann, Farm Progress national events manager. "In spite of the weather conditions, all demonstrations during the Hay Expo will continue as scheduled."
