In 2010, a Center For Dairy Excellence Foundation of Pennsylvania was established as a tax-exempt charitable 501c3 to financially support scholarships and educational grants to strengthen the Keystone State's dairy industry. At next week's Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg and the Keystone Farm Show in York, you can learn more about making a tax-deductible contribution for educational initiatives.

If you give a donation to become a foundation partner or friend at the York Shoe, you'll receive a commemorative milk bottle. You can learn more about it at the Center For Dairy Excellence exhibit at Farm Show or at the Foundation's booth in Building #3 at the York Show.

Those who commit to being a "Partner" or "Friend" of the foundation at Keystone will receive a collectible milk bottle commemorating the establishment of the foundation.

"The Center for Dairy Excellence Foundation of Pennsylvania provides the opportunity for people to directly support youth scholarships and continuing education that will enhance the future of the Pennsylvania dairy industry," says Emily Yeiser, Dairy Initiatives Manager. "Those who pledge to support the center foundation can choose to have their contribution go directly to the scholarship program or into an endowment fund that will provide long-term support for the dairy industry."

The center foundation was created to allow individuals and corporations to make a lasting impact on the future of Pennsylvania's dairy industry and its individual dairy farm families. Priorities for the foundation include youth development, continuing education, consumer outreach and market development.

The Center brings together people from more than 40 different dairy organizations in Pennsylvania. Its mission is to enhance the profitability of the dairy industry by empowering people, creating partnerships, and increasing the availability and use of resources.
