Drill Offered for Canola Market

Canola is a crop planted under a wide range of conditions from dry to moderate to good soil moisture fields; and in fields ranging from tilled to no-till. Across that range of conditions, CrustBuster/SpeedKing is answering the need with the new CrustBuster Canola Special Drill.

Based on the company's proven All Plant Drill, the new Canola Special Drill plants canola into heavy residue, and it's available in three widths - 30-, 40- and 45-feet wide with 7.5-inch and 10-inch spacing. The drills are equipped with floating trash whippers on every other row. The 10-inch spaced drill suse single- or double-trash whippers available on 20-inch centers while the 7.5-inch spaced drills use single floating trash whippers available on 15-inch centers.

The new drills have the company's Parallel Linkage for precise depth control and an adjustable all metal Wobble Slot metering system. The Wobble Slot is a ductile cast seed cup that is bored and machine faced with a sintered metal rotor of bronze alloy construction - no plastic. It provides gentle, precise seed metering, and can handle a wide range of seed types.
