The 13th annual Minnesota Women's Agricultural Leadership Conference is set for Wednesday, April 13, at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska. The theme for the conference is Agriculture 2011: Telling Our Story.
The conference marks more than a decade of providing programming, networking and leadership development for women active in all facets of agriculture across the state.
The day-long event is filled with educational sessions, speed networking and the 8th annual Agricultural mentoring awards. The luncheon program features remarks by Minnesota Commissioner of Agriculture Dave Frederickson and Sarah Dornink, president of Minnesota Agri-Women.
This year's conference includes a general session panel on "Telling Our Story," plus breakout sessions on: Farmers Feed US; Your Annual Check-Up: Are You Financially Fit?; How to Tell the Ag Story to Legislators; Committed to Telling Our Story; Food and Agriculture in Africa; Telling My Story as a Woman Veteran; The Story of Local Foods and more.
Roundtable mini sessions to include: Telling the FFA Story; News from FSA; 4-H Speaking up for Animal Agriculture at the State Fair; Advocating for Agriculture; Agri-Women Update; What's New with Ag in the Classroom: and much more.

Registration: $15 for students; $45 for non-students; $30 for new first time attendees and Agri-Women members registered on or before April 5. Registration price increases after this date. Online and mail in registration is available.
