National FFA Convention This Week

Many convention attendees are volunteering in Indianapolis as part of National Days of Service.

Local Chapter members of the National FFA Organization are headed for Indianapolis, Indiana this week to attend the 82nd National Convention of the FFA organization. Many will Lead Out Loud as they take part in the National Days of Service Program. According to the FFA, this program offers members a unique opportunity to volunteer at Indianapolis agencies and organizations that strengthen our communities, build our country's human resources and leaves a lasting legacy.

 

During convention sessions a host of FFA members and adult volunteers will be honored for their hard work at the local, state and national levels. Top member awards will be presented in the areas of Agri-Entrepreneurship, Agriscience, Career Development and American FFA Degrees. And the National FFA Organization will bestow three awards for adults given to exceptional teachers, individuals and companies who have demonstrated continued success and support of the FFA and/or agricultural education.

 

The 82nd National Convention of the FFA organization is in Indianapolis, Indiana from Wednesday through Saturday.
