Montana Nutrition Conference Set for April 9-10

Bozeman event will focus on ranching resilience.

Ranching resilience will be the focus of this year's Montana Nutrition Conference and Livestock Forum in Bozeman April 9-10.

The event begins in the afternoon on April 9 and runs through April 10 in the morning at the GranTree Inn, 1325 N. 7th Avenue.

Jude Capper, a sustainability consultant and adjunct professor of animal sciences at Washington State University, will keynote the event with "How Do We Maintain U.S. Beef Production Sustainability and Resilience Moving Toward 2050?"

Other speakers will probe flexibility on ranches, control of wildlife damage on ranges, programming livestock, mineral function, drought impacts on water, market challenges, communication and beef nutrition and reproduction.

The conference organized by Montana State  University Extension Beef Rachel Endecott and others in MSUs Department of Animal and Range Sciences, is held in collaboration with the Montana Feed Association.

April 10:

Cost to attend both days is $80 if pre-registered, or $100 at the door. Attending one day costs $55 for April 9, and $35 for the 10th.

Cost to attend only the April 9th evening meal is $30.
