Dick Deschamps, USDA Montana Farm Service Agency acting state director, reminds Montana producers of important deadlines of several programs so they can contact their FSA office and submit paperwork before it is too late.
One of those deadlines hits today, Jan. 31, as the final day for growers to apply for loans/Livestock, Dairy and Poultry for wool shorn for the 2011 crop year.
Notable among the coming deadlines is a March 15 closing day for 2012 Non-Insured Crop Disaster Assistance Program for all crops except for value-loss and honey. The NAP program provides financial assistance to producers of non-insurable agricultural crops when low yields or prevented planting occurs as a result of natural disasters.
