The holiday season at the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies culminated in a major donation to help the less fortunate. On Jan. 20 employees at the company's Delta Township home office announced an $8,375 donation to the Greater Lansing Food Bank—funds gathered from their own annual holiday gifts.

"Our community depends upon the kindness and generosity of local companies and agencies to support those in need," says Wayne H. Wood, president of the MFB Family of Companies. "The Greater Lansing Food Bank provides an essential service to our community. We are proud to donate to a cause that services people around this area."

Joe Wald, executive director of the Greater Lansing Food Bank, was honored to receive the donation.

"It shows how local companies like the Farm Bureau Family of Companies care about the people and communities that support them. We are truly fortunate to have people and businesses in our community who truly care and want to make a difference."

Headquartered on West Saginaw Highway in Delta Township, the MFB Family of Companies includes nearly 800 employees who service the entire state of Michigan, including the Michigan Farm Bureau parent company and its affiliate, Farm Bureau Insurance.
