Memphis Biofuels opened last week with the capacity to produce 50 million gallons of biodiesel.
Ken Arnold, Memphis Biofuels LLC president, CEO and part owner, said the firm has signed a contract with a major travel center based in Tennessee to sell more than 35 million gallons.
Meanwhile, the Memphis and Shelby County (Tenn.) Industrial Development Board a tax freeze for a firm that will build a 100 million gallon ethanol plant.
