Massey Ferguson Offers Six New Compact Tractor Models

Series boasts all iron and steel.

Massey Ferguson has launched six new models of the new 1600 Series compact tractor, ranging from 35 to 60 horsepower, all with a factory cab option and 4WD.

The MF1600 tractors are powered with 3 or 4 cylinder liquid-cooled Iseki diesel engines which meet EPA Tier IV interim emission standards and shift through an option list of four transmissions. Consumers have their choice of an 8X8 SynchroShuttle, a 12X12 SynchroShuttle, a 12X12 DynaQPS, and a three-range hydrostatic transmission. All gear boxes have cast-iron housings and oil-encased bevel gears.

The 1600 Series has no plastic panels and boasts all iron or steel construction.

Operator comfort on the 1600 Series comes from a large suspension seat, heavy-duty rubber floor mats for insulation and comfort, right-hand fender mounted controls, easy-to-read gauges and an open, wide platform for easy on and off access. Front and rear work lights supplement the four headlights on the 1600 Series tractors, along with windshield wipers on cab models, dual mirrors and a standard rear auxiliary remote.
Massey Ferguson's new 1600 Series compact tractor replaces the popular 1500 Series with six new 4WD models ranging from 35 to 60 hp. and all offering four transmission options and available factory cabs.

The 1600 Series is mated to a long line of easy attach accessories such as loaders, backhoes, landscape tools, mowers, tiller, brooms, snow blowers and box blades.

The hydrostatic transmission model features left-side turning brakes and right side forward-reverse controls, along with independent push-button power takeoff to allow engaging the rear and mid PTO systems with no clutching or levers.
