Kinze Launches New Sugarbeet Planter

Bulk-fill machine covers 24 rows per pass with nearly 100% seed placement accuracy.

Published on: Apr 9, 2012

Kinze Manufacturing's new 3700 planter features two dozen 22-inch rows and can singulate pelletized sugarbeet seeds with more than 99% accuracy with the Kinze EdgeVac vacuum meter.

The new machine features Kinze's bulk fill system, ISO monitor compatibility for "plug and play" use with ISO-ready displays; new seed tube sensors to allow the operator to monitor and measure seed skips, multiples and spacing on the cab display, and a 300-gallon planter-mounted liquid fertilizer tank.

The 3700 also comes with a hydraulic seed drive which allows the operator to adjust the planting rate on the monitor and to use prescribed seed mapping to automatically change the planting rate.

Other options include an electric clutch package to minimize seed overlap, a half-rate drive reduction, a rear trailer hitch to allow the use of pull-behind fertilizer tanks, and pneumatic downpressure to create on-the-go down pressure adjustments to match field conditions.

The new machine is also capable of planting corn and soybeans on 22-inch rows, for season-long use.
