A new mounted planter line from Kinze Manufacturing is set for spring 2013 planting and includes the 3110 Rigid and the 3140 Stack Fold in a variety of size and spacing options.
The 3110 Rigid comes in either 6- or 8- row configuration in 30-, 36-, 38- and 40- inch spacing, and the 3140 Stack Fold will be available in 12- or 16-row configuration. The 12-row 3140 will be available in 30- to 40-inch spacings, and the 16-row unit is design for 30-inch rows.
The 3110 Rigid features a spring-loaded contact drive system and self-contained seed rate transmissions.
The 3140 Stack Fold is based on an exclusive three-point, stack-folding design, and is the only planter in its class with spring-loaded contact drive tires, adjustable height wheel modules, self-contained seed rate transmissions and point row clutch capability.
Kinze officials say while the company left mounted planters a number of years ago, increased demand for the machines has presented the opportunity for the new models.
Both models include the option of available Kinze EdgeVAC vacuum or mechanical meters, and will be available in box hoppers and contact drive only. Attachment choices include:
* Row Unit Attachments: No till coulters, residue wheel attachments, coulter-mounted residue wheel attachments, disc furrowers, bed levelers on 36-inch and wider rows, dual row unit gauge wheels on 36-inch and wider rows, and granular chemical attachments.
* Frame Mounted Attachments: Frame-mounted no till coulters and coulter-mounted residue wheel attachments.
