The Illinois Pork Expo will be held Feb. 4-5 at the Peoria Civic Center and will again offer a jam-packed agenda with something for everyone involved in the pork industry – producers, contract growers, employees, allied industry and youth. This year's Pork Expo has several items that may be of interest to Illinois grain farmers as well. The Pork Expo is sponsored by the Illinois Pork Producers Association.

"The theme of this year's expo is 'Agents of Change'", explains Pam Janssen, a pork producer from Minonk and Chair of the 2014 IL Pork Expo. "This theme evokes the spirit of joining together to rise to the occasion and embrace the mission through teamwork, allowing us to meet new challenges head-on. As pork producers, we accept this challenge by renewing our skills, through best practice models, staying on top of current trends, and enhancing additional skills that promote professional development. The IL Pork Expo is the one-stop shop for the IL pork industry. We strive to continue to improve the show and make it relevant to pork producers."
