You've still got time to enter the sweepstakes Indiana Prairie Farmer is running just for fun. Refer to your December issue. If you don't have one, borrow a neighbor's issue. And then, of course, subscribe and get your own!
We spent time at the National FFA Convention and captured several Hoosiers in a series of pictures that appeared in the December issue. If you can identify the Hoosiers in any one picture, not all – just one – you will be eligible for a drawing for a Visa Gift card just in time for finishing Christmas shopping. Indiana Prairie Farmer will award a $100 card for first place and $50 for second place. All the correct entries will be placed in the proverbial hat for the drawing. We'll even use an Indiana Prairie Farmer hat!
The contest helps celebrate the last year the National FFA Convention will be in Indianapolis. It returns to Louisville, Ky., for the next three years, then comes back to Indianapolis for three years, beginning in 2016. The 2013, 2014 and 2015 National FFA Conventions will be at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center located off I-65 South in Louisville.
The contest also is a reward to readers who have endured a challenging year. Maybe your crops were decent. Likely you had some that weren't. Hopefully we can brighten the holiday season for a couple of people.
To enter, refer back to the story on page 52 in the December issue. Identify the Hoosiers in any one of the 10 pictures. You can send in the entry form. Or you can email your answer to email@example.com. Just be sure to include your name, address, phone number and the letter of the picture you're identifying, plus the name(s) of the Hoosiers in the picture.
Entries must be postmarked by December 15, or emailed by before midnight on December 15. Good luck!
