HayBoss Auto-adjusts Big Bale Preservative Rates

Published on: Nov 21, 2013

Applying a hay preservative on big square bales just got a lot easier. AGCO's new HayBoss G2 600 Series automatic application system senses moisture, records tonnage on the go, adjusts preserve rates based on that data and records the data.

The baler-mounted applicator, jointly engineered by Harvest Tec, is tied into the tractor cab and baler's ISOBUS electronic system, so that all moisture and application information is displayed on the tractor-mounted baler monitor. The 600 Series also interfaces with AGCO's bale weighing scales and the Garmin GPS receiver for yield mapping. It's all displayed on the same main operating screen.

The system is available for all new Massey Ferguson, Challenger and Hesston large square balers. A non-automated electronic control system is also available for these large square balers.
