Grain Bag Unloader Gets Updates

Loftness launches next-generation product with GBU10 system.

Published on: Jul 15, 2013

Building on an existing product is a great way to satisfy customers and Loftness is doing that with the next generation GrainLogix GBU10 grain bag unloader. The new unit features an improved drive system designed to fill 10-foot diameter grain bags.

The system includes a 10-inch-diameter cross auger with a reconfigured drive making sure a range of crops can be unloaded from the bag. The cross auger transfers grain to the 17-inch discharge auger, which carries it to a trailer or grain cart. The system can move up to 8,500 bushels per hour, filling a 1,000-bushel trailer in about seven minutes. The system features a new hydraulically driven gearbox drive cutting the number of gear-reduction sprockets originally used. And there are ground level controls with a valve system that offers an easy switch from open center to closed center hydraulics.

The bag roller also has new style welded teeth for a better grip on the bag. The unit also has an adjustable knife to cut the bag at the right angle and when fully unloaded the operator can easily disengage the roller drive without using tools to unroll the bag. And the system folds for easy transport. Learn more by calling 320-848-6266 or visit www.grainlogix.com.
