There's plenty of activity near Strawberry Point, Iowa, this week as the Farm Progress Show crew and more than 90 exhibitors put the finishing touches on their lots for the 2010 Hay Expo. The images below give you an idea of the last-minute work being done ahead of the show's start at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 16.

Getting Set up
Mark Lovig, Farm Progress Hay Expo operations manager uses GPS to layout the exhibit field, parking lots and demonstration fields. Using this technology makes laying out the exhibit field quicker and more accurate than in the past. 2010 marks the fifth year GPS has been used for set up of the Hay Expo.

Cutting Alfalfa
A Case IH 10’ pull type mower conditioner cuts alfalfa on Monday, June 14. This alfalfa will be baled during the Hay Expo on Wednesday and Thursday.

Final Tune-up
Prior to the show, exhibitor set their machines to ensure smooth operation during the demonstrations.

On Parade
Strawberry Point, Iowa celebrated Strawberry Days the weekend before the Hay Expo. The Hay Expo crew rode in the parade on Saturday on this New Holland chopper.
