CASE IH is bringing the Farmall name back to its compact utility tractors, dropping the D/DX, JX/ JXU and JXC designations for a "Farmall" name and horsepower number.

In 2008 the Farmall Class 2 and Class 3 compact tractors, (D, DX) will have a new emission compliant Tier 3 engine and will be represented by the Farmall 31 and 35, and Farmall 40, 45 and 50, respectively.

The Class 3 tractors come with platform or cab options. The 40 and 45 have gear or hydrostatic drives, and the 50 will come with a gear transmission.

CASE IH has brought back the Farmall name as the main brand component for its compact utility tractors. The Farmall name and horsepower rating replaces the former, sometimes confusing, alphabetic designations.

Class 4 Farmalls, (DX55, DX60) will now be the Farmall 55 and Farmall 60.

The new year's production will see the Farmall 70, 80, 90, and 95 replace the former JX models.

The JXU tractors will now be the Farmall 85U, 95U and 105U, featuring a 12X12 Power Shuttle option and other upgrades.

Product changes to the old JXC lineup, now the Farmall 65C, 75C, 85C and 95C, include a transmission upgrade and improved lift capacity.

All Farmalls for 2008 will be EPA Tier 3 emission compliant.
