Farm Progress Companies announces its leading state and regional farm and ranch publications will deliver IRON Search used machine listing advertisements in a new and innovative format.

Farm Progress Magazine Group's 48-state coverage, highly developed readership and targeted producer audiences provide the platform for delivering this new product designed to serve used equipment buyers and sellers. The IRON Search advertisements will be featured in a new section in these magazines. The publication group provides national producer coverage, local editorial content and a publishing business model that provides the perfect environment for these new sections. The receptive audiences combined with geographic flexibility provided by the publications serve equipment dealers' needs to reach the key producers within their marketing areas.

"This new collaboration allows our two companies to leverage their core strengths, to everyone's advantage," says Jeff Lapin, president of Farm Progress Companies. "The broad, respected network of Farm Progress state and regional publications is a natural fit with the online services of IRONsearch.com, and the IRON Solutions Official Guides. The two entities working together are revolutionizing the ease with which buyers and sellers seek, find and sell used equipment."

"The Farm Progress state and regional magazines greatly enhances the reach of the IRON Search online equipment listings and provides the immediate, developed readership needed to make the new advertising sections a success. We are very pleased to be working with the IRON Solutions staff to make this new project a success."

"Our new association with IRON Solutions combines the nation's most authoritative and relevant ag production magazines with North America's most developed used equipment marketing company. Our publications' local content, coupled with the IRON Search equipment listing ads and associated editorial, make our titles even more useful for our reader base," says Don Tourte, director, national business development, for Farm Progress.

"It's a tremendous benefit to our readers and provides even greater reader engagement which is an excellent benefit for all our advertisers. The venture is unparalleled in ag publishing and underscores Farm Progress' leadership position in the ag media industry," Tourte adds.

This new service is an extension to the newly re-designed IRONsearch.com Web site which brings used equipment listings into an easy-to-find, used equipment print section included in Farm Progress publications. Within the sections, used equipment for sale is listed by manufacturer, equipment type and model number, making it simple for buyers to find equipment quickly.

The IRON Search section also includes editorial content on the equipment industry provided by the Farm Progress editorial team. The section also offers additional advertising opportunities for equipment dealerships and suppliers.

"This new alliance brings together the best in agricultural publishing and online used equipment marketing," explains Darwin Melnyk, CEO of IRON Solutions, Inc. "It's another uncomplicated way for buyers to find used equipment, and the listings follow the easy and quick online format listing machines by manufacturer, type and model."

"Equipment sellers reap big benefits from this new service as well," Melnyk explains.

"Sellers using IRONsearch.com know their listings are seen by more than 235,000 prospective online buyers. Now IRON Search sellers can show their listings to IRONsearch.com and Farm Progress an additional 620,000 Farm Progress readers/buyers each month. The power and convenience of IRONsearch.com, combined with the reach and reputation of Farm Progress Companies publications, is a winning combination for both buyers and sellers of used equipment."

Test market IRON Search publication editions were circulated at the recent Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest Days. The publications were widely appreciated and read by producers visiting the events.

IRON Search sections are set to be published in select Farm Progress Magazine Group Midwest titles this fall with a roll-out within additional titles in early 2009.
