If you wanted to check out the agenda for the upcoming national meeting for the American Farm Bureau Federation convention on its website, or see the latest news from www.fb.org, you were blocked. Turns out the site has been hacked, making it unavailable to users.

Little information is known so far this morning about the hack, but an attempted visit to the site (and we have intentionally left the URL "off" in this story) bring up a virus warning and other info promising dire consequences to your computer. The group is hard at work to restore this site on a day that is a holiday to many.

We'll keep you informed about this attack on the group's site when we know more. This kind of "hack" has become more common as groups of attackers target key sites to take them down. Eventually the sites do come back up, but it takes groups time and resources to repair the damage.
