Fall Fair at Farmamerica

Allow extra time this weekend for touring the neighboring Guardian Energy ethanol plant.

Farmamerica, Waseca, is hosting its Fall Fair Saturday and Sunday, September 11-12.

Plan for a full weekend of events from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Don't miss the draft horse pull Saturday and the antique tractor pull on Sunday. Stroll through the peddlers grove both days and enjoy native American crafts, muzzle loading demonstrations, blacksmithing and soap making. At other Farmamerica sites, enjoy in chainsaw carving demonstrations, FFA barnyard Olympics, 4-H games, face painting, the Lost River Railroad exhibit, the corn maze and threshing.

All sites at Farmamerica are open for tours. Tours of the neighboring Guardian Energy (ethanol) plant will also be available.

Tickets at the door are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors 62+ and $5 for kids 5 and under.
