John Deere has expanded its remanufactured engine line to include short blocks for the popular 4.5L, 6.8L and 9.0L Tier 3 engines. Running reman engines of the same displacement are expected to be available by autumn 2009.
Deere says this expansion comes from its remanufacturing plant in Springfield, Mo.
The reman 4.5L Tier 3 engines are used in the company's 6030 and 6030 Premium and 5M Series tractors. The 6.8L Tier 3 engine powers the 7030 Series tractor, 9560 and 9570 combines, the 9970 Cotton Picker and 30 Series Self-Propelled Sprayer. The 9.0 L Tier 3 engine is used in the 8030 and 9030 Series tractors and other equipment.
The replacement short blocks come with a one-year, unlimited hour warranty, and the complete running engines will carry a John Deere two-year or 2,000 hour warranty when they become available.
