Deere Adds Implement Detection To Product Line

GreenStar 3 compatible machines can communicate with implements with new software.

Published on: Mar 22, 2012

New Implement Detection technology from John Deere allows specific implements to communicate with a GreenStar 3 monitor in the tractor cab to identify the implement, the connection type and specific task-related settings.

Deere Implement Detection software works with Deere and competitive equipment and allows the operator to accept the settings displayed and move to the run page, or they can make adjustments to the settings if necessary before starting to work.  All changes to implement settings will override previously saved inputs. The system allows an integrated solution to set up different types of equipment consistently with each use.

John Deere Implement Detection software allows the implement to communicate with the tractor through a GreenStar 3 2630 display in the cab. Such communication includes task-specific settings, the implement and connection type.
