Email Story RSS Permalink Print Tulare County Farm Bureau will join with its Kings County neighbor to offer a Cotton Harvest Safety Training Class, Friday, Sept. 22 at the Mid Valley Gin in Tulare. The gin is located at 21978 Road 36, 3/4-mile south of Kansas Avenue in Tulare/Waukena. The class, which is conducted in both English and Spanish, will satisfy cotton harvest safety training for SB 198 programs and topics will include first aid and SB 198 updates. Safety materials also will be offered. All participants receive a certificate of completion. Reservations for the class, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon, are required by Sept. 15. For reservations, please contact Tulare County Farm Bureau at (559) 732-8301. Please indicate whether English or Spanish language is needed and whether participants will be staying for lunch. In addition to Tulare and Kings County Farm Bureaus, sponsors include Mid Valley Gin, State Fund, Kings and Tulare County Fire Departments, the UC Cooperative Extensions of Tulare and Kings counties, and the California Cotton Growers and Ginners Association.
