If you work in the fruit and vegetable industry or simply want to learn more about it, the Southeastern Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference may be just what you need.
Attendees will be able to discover new products and services on the trade floor, learn about the latest trends talk with industry representatives, see demonstrations and network with other growers. Educational sessions focusing on peaches, vegetables, Vidalia onions, organic production, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, grapes, pecans, public safety, food safety and roadside markets will be covered.
The Conference will be held in Savannah, Ga., Jan. 7-10 at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. The General Session on Saturday will have several special guests and speakers, including several members of the U.S. Congress (confirmation of the speakers will be made in December based on congressional schedules for January). In addition to the legislative updates, individuals and groups will be recognized for their accomplishments and contributions to the fruit and vegetable industry.
The Southeast Regional Conference is sponsored by the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association and the Georgia Peach Council in partnership with 16 other public and private organizations including Clemson University, S.C. Department of Agriculture Certified Roadside Market Program, S.C. Muscadine Growers, S.C. Peach Council, S.C. Strawberry Growers, and the S.C. Fruit & Vegetable Association.
