Branson Tractor Company has two new 4WD models in cab or ROPS variations to challenge the growing number of competitors in the upper horsepower range of compact tractors. Both models of the 30 Series are powered with four cylinder diesel engines, the 5530 developing 55 horsepower with a turbocharger, and the 6530 rated at 65 hp.
The 6530 powerplant carries the Cummins name and is fed by direct injection and is naturally aspirated. PTO ratings are 47 hp. for the 5530 and 57 hp. for the 6530. Both models come with 24 gallon fuel tanks and both models burn about one half gallon of fuel per hour.
COMPACT POWER: Branson Tractor Company’s new 30 Series features two models in cab or ROPS variation with either a 55 horsepower turbo-diesel or a 65 hp. Cummins naturally-aspirated diesel. Both tractors have 12X12 transmissions with a manual creeper gear.
The 30 Series shifts with a synchromesh 24X24 (including a manual creeper gear) transmission equipped with synchro shuttle and both models have a three-point hitch. The 5530 is a Category I and the 6530 a Category II.
Creature comforts include a tilting steering wheel connected to power steering, a convenient instrument cluster and centralized control levers for better handling. Cab models feature a fully-enclosed design with air conditioning.
Four rear hydraulic ports allow quick implement connection, and a single switch in the cab moves the implement to its highest position.
The new models both have an angled caster design on the front wheels to reduce the turning radius.
