More than 2,000 people associated with the cotton industry are expected in Nashville to "orchestrate opportunities" this week at the Beltwide Cotton Conferences. The conferences run through Friday.
Among the highlights at the conferences, Bayer CropScience will launch its new Bayer Season, designed as a blueprint to help growers get their cotton crop off to a good start. There will also be a demonstration of eXtension Web site.
A cotton consultants conference got the annual National Cotton Council-sponsored meetings off to a good start Tuesday afternoon. Following a general session on Wednesday morning, panel discussions are planned on herbicide resistance management, challenges by region and harvesting technology.
