The beef checkoff is once again partnering with the Wisconsin Beef Council to participate in World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisc., Oct. 2-6, 2012. Be sure to stop by Booth #EH 4509 to sample beef recipes and talk with representatives from the beef checkoff.
Special guests at the booth this year are dairy/beef producers Gary and Donna Sharp from Bath, S.D. They run a fifth-generation dairy and beef operation, where the family milks about 250 cows and runs a dairy replacement heifer program and a beef cattle backgrounding and feeding operation.
The Sharps believe that the beef industry needs programs that the checkoff supports to be viable to consumers now and in the future -- and, in turn, keep our farm and ranch operations in business.
