Argentina Registry Stays Closed

Government has indefinitely suspended wheat registrations.

On Wednesday the Argentine government announced an indefinite extension of the wheat export registry. The registry was closed earlier this month so officials could assess damage from November frost.

Argentina's December wheat estimate was 15.4 million metric tons, the same as the previous one, and favorable moisture has boosted yields.

The Ag Secretariat spokeswoman did not say why the closing was being extended, but did say the registry should be re-opened in the near future.
