Green and red dominated the color scheme on the Mackinac Bridge Sept. 6, but there were also a few orange, gray, yellow, silver, blue and even pink antique tractors that putted across the straights.

The support and enthusiasm for the 6th annual Mackinac Bridge Antique Tractor Crossing was most evident by the huge turnout of spectators. Hands were waving, flags were flying, horns were tooting and the sun was shining all while 907 antique tractors paraded through Mackinaw City and across the five-mile Mackinac Bridge before culminating at Little Bear Arena and  the downtown Marina in St. Ignace.

The motto this year was "Bring it on," and event organizer and owner of Owosso Tractor Parts, Bob Baumgras says, "They really did."

Some were shiny and immaculately restored, while others were original, unretired and proudly displaying years of labor.
