This year’s Mackinac Bridge Antique Tractor Crossing attracted more tractors and riders, Sept. 14, than any of the four years prior.

It is the largest antique tractor parade in Michigan, drawing in drivers from multiple states and Canada.

Bob Baumgras, owner of Owosso Tractor Parts, organizes the event. He divides the tractors into two groups. The first tractor group is lined up and leaves the staging area directly for the bridge, while the second group parades through Mackinaw City before crossing the bridge. Once across the bridge, participants paraded through St. Ignace to Kewadin Shores Casino, which is five miles north of St. Ignace. In total, it's about a 3 ½-hour-parade covering about 18 miles.
