Agro Culture Liquid Fertilizers, a manufacturer and innovator of environmentally responsible nutrient management products, based in St. Johns since 1983, is having its grand opening. The company is hosting an open house to celebrate its new, 57,000-square-feet world headquarters facility, after a year of construction. The open house is Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3055 West M-21, St. Johns.

Agro Culture Liquid Fertilizers currently employs 100 area residents and is aiming to add half again as many in the next five years. Its new headquarters facility exemplifies the company's commitment to its roots in mid-Michigan, while remaining consistent with its mission—"to prosper the farmer"—at the cutting edge of eco-friendly fertilizer production.

Beyond providing a new home for the company's executive, administrative, marketing, sales, customer service and info-tech functions, AgroLiquid's new headquarters facility will house its innovative research and development activities.

Other unique resources include a 150-person capacity conference facility for public use, commercial-scale kitchen facilities, media studio and several guest rooms for distant visitors. It will also house an educational conference center called IQ Hub—a state-of-the-art education and outreach facility for connecting educators, students, industry leaders and government officials, farmers and the general public. The mission is to foster better understanding of agriculture and the environment.
