Agri-Women Meeting Underway New leadership program, workshops highlight meeting. Published on: Apr 9, 2010 Tweet Post to Your Wall. Email Story RSS Permalink Print The three-day American Agri-Women Mid-Year meeting is in full swing in Denver, Colorado. When the meeting ends Saturday the group will have reviewed and amended its policy positions on issues. AAW generally does not take positions on specific commodity policies since it represents a wide range of commodities instead focusing on positions that are pro-farm businesses, pro-agriculture and pro-property rights. Friday morning's Agri-Women Leadership Institute workshop is a new program for members who wish to polish and add to their leadership skills. The institute will continue through the year with a few Webinars, culminating in sessions and graduation at the convention in St. Louis in November. Saturday's program features a workshop called Agriculture Under Siege: Why and How We Need to Be a Force For Truth for Agriculture presented by Jackie Matson of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association.
