40th Michigan Soybean Association's Annual Meeting Set for Jan. 22

Directors will be elected and other member business conducted.

All soybean farmers in Michigan are invited to participate in the Michigan Soybean Association (MSA) Annual Meeting of Members program. The 45-minute meeting is set for Wednesday, Jan. 22 at FireKeepers Casino and Hotel, in Battle Creek.

The purpose of the annual meeting is to elect directors and conduct other member business. MSA director nominations are currently being taken by phoning the MSA office at 989-652-3294 or phoning the nomination committee chairman, Andy Welden at 517-398-0973. Directors will be elected from districts: 1, 4 and 7. Please reference the MSA district map. All positions are three-year terms expiring in 2017.

A representative with Michigan Farm Radio Network will give a market report and a presentation will be given by Joel Moellers, IntelliAir Grain Specialist VP Strategic Accounts. Also, MSA members will have a chance to win 1 of 2 - $25 Home Depot gift cards.

The MSA Annual Meeting is taking place during the Great Lakes Crop Summit (GLCS) – while there is no cost to attend just the MSA Annual Meeting, if you choose to attend any of the GLCS event, registration can be done online for GLCS at www.greatlakescropsummit.com.
