Eight crop production meetings will be held across Wisconsin in January.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Agronomy and UW Extension will offer crop production and management meetings at eight locations during 2017.

Joe Lauer, Dan Undersander and Shawn Conley, all with UW-Madison, will present the latest information on hybrid and variety performance, an analysis and discussion of last year's growing season, and updated recommendations for field crop production.

A $45 registration fee will cover a meal and information materials. Certified Crop Adviser continuing education unit credits have been requested.

The public is invited to be a part of these Agronomy Update meetings. The dates and locations for 2017 meetings are:

Janesville, Jan. 3 at noon
Madison, Jan. 4 at 7:30 a.m.
Fond du Lac, Jan. 4 at noon
Kimberly, Jan. 5 at 7:30 a.m.
Wausau, Jan. 5 at noon
Eau Claire, Jan. 6 at 7:30 a.m.
Sparta, Jan. 6 at noon
Belmont, Jan. 9 at noon

Be sure to attend a meeting in your area. Help spread the word by informing seed dealers and other ag industry people from your county or area, and encourage them to attend.
