The sale will begin at noon with a welcome and the presentation of the Dr. David P. Dickson Hall of Fame Award to a UW-Madison Alumni. Tom Morris will start the sale with a semen auction at 12:15 p.m. followed by the cattle auction.

There are 13 Badger Dairy Club members who are sale chairmen for the sale. Badger Dairy Club members are involved in every aspect of the sale from the planning through the sale.
"They are handling everything from advertising, sale selection, catalog preparation cattle care and fitting," Brey says. "We have about 60 Badger Dairy Club members and UW Short Course students who will be helping wash, clip and do nightline.
The animals start coming in on Tuesday before the sale on Saturday.
"We'll be taking turns feeding and taking care of these animals, similar to what we do at the Wisconsin State Fair Junior Dairy Show," he says.
"The sale, along with Badger Dairy Club members working at World Dairy Expo are the two biggest activities we have throughout the year," Brey notes.
Proceeds from the sale will go back into Badger Dairy Club to help fund judging trips and other club activities throughout the year.
"We hope a lot of people turn out to support the sale, see the cattle and get a look at the newly remodeled Dairy Cattle Center."
