    We’ve spent much of the past few months preparing for next week. That’s when we’ll unveil the 2009 Prairie Farmer Master Farmers, both in the March issue and at a March 4 banquet in Springfield.   It’s been a labor of love, as it always is.     Midwest Power Shift

    Could some agricultural power being shifting back to the Midwest? Illinois Farm Bureau’s Chuck Spencer thinks so.   Chuck told a gathering of Fulton County farmers the other night that after years of key committee positions going to Southeastern folks, some of those top positions are back in the Midwest – and many in Illinois.
